telegram. Two days later the phone rang and it was President-elect Ronald
Reagan. The first thing he said to me was a line from the opening of our scene
in The Bad Man - 'I have a little going-away present for you.' -
Laraine Day". Laraine Day (1917-2007) reached stardom as Nurse
Lamont opposite Lew Ayres in a series of six Dr. Kildare films
(1939-1942). Other starring roles for Day included Hitchcock's Foreign
Correspondent (1940< The Story of Dr. Wassell (1944), My Dear
Secretary (1948) and The High and the Mighty (1954). She hosted a TV
program in 1951, and was married to baseball manager Leo Durocher from
1947-1960. Fine condition.
