lower left margin: "'Clash of the Titans'/1979". Pictured in his role as Zeus
in Clash of the Titans, which was actually released in 1981. Zeus'
interference results in mortal Perseus (Harry Hamlin) finding himself in Joppa,
where he falls in love with Andromeda (Judi Bowker), an imprisoned princess. The
film also starred Claire Bloom as Hera, Zeus' wife, Maggie Smith as Thetis,
Burgess Meredith as Ammon and Ursula Andress as Aphrodite. British actor Sir
Laurence Olivier (1907-1989) was nominated for Academy Awards for Best
Actor for Wuthering Heights (1939), Henry V (1946), Richard
III (1956), The Entertainer (1960), Sleuth (1972) and The
Boys from Brazil (1978), for Best Supporting Actor for Marathon
Man (1976) and for Best Director for Hamlet, for which he
won the 1948 Best Actor Oscar. Defects from original negative have
reproduced at background. Fine condition.
