Little". Pencil notations on verso in unknown hand. B/w, 8x10 overall, 7½x9½
image, one surface, printed on cardstock. Photo by Jimmie Dodd with photo credit
stamp in bottom left corner and on verso in black ink. Little (1910-1968)
was one of the most dominant amateur golf players in history. Little won
his first amateur tournament in 1928 at the Northern California Amateur. But he
saved the best for last, winning a toal of 32 consecutive matches in 1934 and
1935 on both sides of the Atlantic and claiming victories in both years at the
British and American Amateur Championships. He went pro in 1936 and won a
total of 8 PGA Tour matches, including the 1940 U. S. Open. Little was
inducted in the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1980. Lightly toned and bowed.
Signature is lightly smeared but legible. Lightly worn at corners and edges.
