Pictures and Paramount Pictures. Captioned at lower margin. In 1967, Remick
also starred on the big screen in The Detective. Previously a
professional dancer, actress Lee Remick (1935-1991) made her film debut as a
sexy drum majorette in A Face In the Crowd (1957). She matured into an
actress of great skill, earning a nomination for the Best Actress Academy
Award for The Days of Wine and Roses (1962). Remick, who was a
popular TV guest and miniseries star, also received a Tony Award nomination
for her Broadway performance in Wait Until Dark (1966). Her last
public appearance was on April 29, 1991, when she received her star on the
Hollywood Walk of Fame. Remick, who was ill from the ravages of cancer died
just over two months later (on July 2). Lightly creased at blank margins and
corners. Surface creases (most not evident head on), some at facial image.
