LENNY KENT
The nightclub entertainer signs an autograph note for a syndicated handwriting analyst, at the top of a typed letter from his talent agent.
Autograph Note signed: "Dear Miss Spencer -/This is the first time I have ever/had my handwriting analyzed and/naturally I cannot wait until I/read your report/Sincerely/Larry Kent", 1 page, 8½x11. New York, N.Y., no date. Written on letterhead of David E. Green Associates, atop a TLS signed "Dick Moses". Moses, presumably a publicity agent for Kent, has written some biographic notes. Lenny Kent (1913-1985) was nightclub entertainer seen in Las Vegas shows of the 1950s. He was also a singer and songwriter, as the Moses TLS points out, and performed with the Ted Fio Rito Orchestra. Kent played small parts in some feature films - a cabbie in The Thrill of It All (1963); a lawyer in What A Way to Go! (1964). He appeared on TV variety shows of the 1950s, including several editions of the Joey Bishop Show, and made occasional visits to series, the last being Kojak (1974). Shirley Spencer wrote a syndicated newspaper column analyzing celebrity handwriting. Creased from folds. Lightly toned. Otherwise, fine condition.
