Inscribed photograph signed "Todear [sic]/Marie Burnell/good luck pal/Sincerely/Leo Carrillo" in blue ink. B/w, 8x9½ overall, 7½x9 image, one surface. After portraying Pancho, the Cisco Kid's sidekick in four films (1948-1949), Carrillo (1880-1961, born Los Angeles, California) repeated the role when he and Duncan Reynaldo (as Cisco) starred in television's The Cisco Kid in 156 half-hour episodes from 1950 to 1956. Leo Carrillo State Park and Leo Carrillo Beach, both in California, were named after the actor, who also served on the State Park and Recreation Commission. He was related by blood and marriage to a long line of distinguished original Californians. Lightly toned, cracked, creased and bowed. Signature has poor adhesion but is legible. Light impressions and scratches on image (not visible head-on). Otherwise in fine condition.
