Inscribed photograph signed: "To/Carla/best/wishes/Leonard John Crofoot", in black felt tip, B/w 8x10. Leonard John Crofoot (b. 1948) is an actor, dancer, and choreographer. Born with a degenerative disease of the hip joint, Crofoot's parents signed him up for dance lessons to help strengthen his muscles. Crofoot not only grew stronger, but also moved past his diseases, becoming a very skilled dancer. He has performed with multiple troupes and productions, including the Kirov Ballet and several Broadway productions. He is most known for his one man show Nijinsky Speaks, which ran from 1996 to 2006 and was critically acclaimed. In addition to his stage and dance work, Crofoot has made a number of film and television appearances, including Echoes (1982), The Man Who Wasn't There (2001), and The Singing Detective (2003).
