Autograph document double signed: "Leonard Whitcup", and "Leonard Whitcup", in black ink, 1 page, 4x6 attached to 7x9½ sheet (2 surfaces). Whitcup lists the following songs: "'Bewildered'/ ('Shout wherever you may be') I am an American'/ 'From the Vine Came the/Grape'/ 'Frenesi (English Lyric by/Leonard Whitcup)/ Fiesta/Boots & Saddle". Leonard Whitcup (1903-1977) was an American songwriter, composer and musician who wrote the famous hits "Infatuation" (1934),"Take Me back to My Boots and Saddle" and "Bewildered" (1938). He also wrote for many films and television shows, including The Soupy Sales Show and The Gay Desperado. Former Vice President and Chairman of the American Guild of Authors and Composers (AGAC), Whitcup helped make famous several artists with his music, including Bing Crosby, Gene Autry and James Brown. George R. Sanders, originally a disc jockey, became a prominent radio/TV interview host, first in Los Angeles and later in Portland.Page attached to 7x9½ sheet (2 surfaces).
