Autograph letter signed "Leonard White". 1 page, 8¼ x 11, with biographical information on verso. England, Dec. 17, 1984. With address label in upper left corner. Addressed to Todd M. Axelrod, Executive Director, The American Museum of Historical Documents, Las Vegas, Nevada. In full: "Dear Mr. Axelrod: I have taken a while to respond to your request. I do apologise. However, please find herewith something which may be what you require (I'm not at all sure?). However, if it is of no use please DESTROY - do not leave it lying around. All good wishes for your project. Yours sincerely,". White, born in Newhaven, Sussex, England in 1916, is an actor of stage and film and a TV producer. White got his start on the stage, then moved to the silver screen in 1951 with The Dark Man. Movie starring roles eluded him, and he gave them up in 1958 to concentrate on TV. White broke into TV in 1960 as a producer on British television with Police Surgeon and went on to produce episodes of The Avengers (1961-1962), Armchair Theatre (1963-1969) and Strathblair (1993). Lightly toned and creased. Biography on verso has light show-through. Address label touches writing. Folded once and unfolded. Otherwise in fine condition.
