Signatures by the British Character actor and the Broadway actress
Signature(s): "Leslie Banks" and on verso "Joan Winters", 5½x6½ album leaf. British actor LESLIE BANKS (1890-1952) turned World War I scars (and large size) to his advantage in villainous parts and other character roles in such British films as The Most Dangerous Game (1932), The Man Who Knew Too Much (1934), Fire Over England (1937) and Henry V (1944). His New York stage debut was in Peter Pan (1924), as Captain Hook. Actress JOAN WINTERS (1907-2001) was seen in the Broadway play Bad Girl (1930) and the film Variety Jubilee (1933). In 1932, she married Frank Bering, longtime manager of Chicago's Hotel Sherman. Lightly toned at edges. Lightly frayed at left edge. Lightly creased. Otherwise, fine condition.
