Contract signed "Liam Sullivan", as Roy Lansing. 2p. 8½x13½ front and verso. Van Nuys, California, 1963 December 21. Standard AFTRA Engagement Contract for a Single Television Broadcast for Multiple Television Broadcasts Within One Calendar Week in which Selmur Productions, Inc. contracts with Sullivan to appear on General Hospital for the sum of $155 plus 10%. Liam Sullivan (1923-1998) was an actor whose career spanned nearly 50 years and hundreds of production credits. Usually playing a villain, Sullivan was to have said "Playing truly evil people is a great way to release tension and anger and disgust with humanity. Show bad people what they really look and act like and maybe they'll recognize themselves and change. Who knows?" Beginning in the 1950s in Lights Out, he ventured into westerns like Death Valley Days, Cheyenne, Gunsmoke and Wagon Train. Alfred Hitchock Presents (1960) was followed by Perry Mason (1961-1962, Disneyland (1965), and Star Trek (1968) where he was most memorable as the telepathic alien, Parmen. In The Monroes (1966-1967), Sullivan appeared as Major Mapoy in forty-three episides. Four filing holes at left edge. Paperclip crease and two filing holes at upper center margin. Horizontal fold crease. Otherwise, fine condition.
