4x5. Linus Pauling (1901-1994) was the only winner of two unshared Nobel
Prizes. He won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1954 for his research
on the nature of the chemical bond holding molecules together and its use in
understanding the structure of complex substances such as protein and
antibodies. After the development of the atomic bomb, Pauling campaigned against
nuclear weapons. He won the 1962 Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts. Ink
note on verso (no show through). Fine condition.
