place, 1960 October 24. In letter form to Newsmaker Productions, Inc.,
New York, New York. Begins: "Gentlemen". In full: "In
consideration of the sum of $1.00 and other consideration, which I have
received, I give you the continuing right to televise by video tape, broadcast
on radio, or reproduce on photograph record, the program, or any portion
thereof, on which I appear. I further agree that you may use and publish my
likeness and biography for advertising in connection with the rights granted
you." Typed at upper right: "The Mike Wallace Interview". MIKE
WALLACE, who began his 37th season as co-editor of 60 Minutes
with the 2004-2005 season, hosted another TV series, The Mike Wallace
Interview, from 1957-1960. LINUS PAULING (1901-1994), who was
known for promoting the curative and restorative powers of Vitamin C, earned the
1954 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his research into the nature of
chemical bonding and its application to the structure of complex substances.
In 1962, he received the Nobel Peace Prize for his campaign against
nuclear testing (even though Pauling had done military research during WWII, he
became an increasingly vocal critic of the arms race). Lightly creased with
folds, not at signature. 2 file holes at upper blank margin. Fine
condition.
