Singer and actress Lisa Loeb (born in 1968) began her career in show business as
part of Liz and Lisa, a band that also featured future singer/songwriter
Duncan Sheik. She got her big break when her song, "Stay (I Missed You)"
was featured in the 1994 film, Reality Bites. The song, which
appeared on the films soundtrack, became a No. 1 hit, making her the
only artist to top the Hot 100 before being signed to a record label. Her
debut album, Tails, contained the singles, "Do You Sleep?, "Taffy"
and "Waiting for Wednesday" and reached platinum status. Loeb's second
album, Firecracker (1997), contained the songs "I Do" and "How",
which was featured on the soundtrack of the film, Twister. Loeb, whose
latest album, The Very Best of Lisa Loeb, was released in 2006, has also
appeared on television and in feature films, including House on
Haunted Hill (1999) and Serial Killing 4 Dummies (2004), and she
voiced a newborn baby in the animated film, The Rugrats Movie (1998). Her
TV credits include guest starring appearances on several series and her own
reality show, Dweezil & Lisa (from 2004), which co-starred her
then boyfriend, Dweezil Zappa. Adequate contrast, signature completely
