card board. Accompanied by unsigned newspaper photo. Lizette Woodworth Reese
(1856-1935), who taught in the Baltimore Public Schools for 45 years,
published 15 volumes of poems and short stories. Her work frequently
appeared in the leading periodicals, including Atlantic Monthly and Harper's
Weekly. Critics praised her for a concise style which conveyed emotion
without becoming sentimental, and some compared her to Emily Dickinson.
Lightly creased. One vertical fold crease through center. Edges irregularly cut.
