LLOYD BRIDGES
Black and white publicity photograph of Lloyd Bridges as his character in the TV series Joe Forrester.
Photograph inscribed and signed: "Happy days,/Steve!/Lloyd Bridges/(Joe Forrester)". B/w, 8x10. Bridges starred in the title role on the TV series, Joe Forrester, from 1975-1976. He had previously played the character on Police Story (1974-1975). Stage, screen and television actor Lloyd Bridges (1913-1998) is best known for his role as Mike Nelson in the TV series, Sea Hunt (1958-1961). After stage experience in stock, Bridges made his Broadway debut in the late 1930s in a modern dress version of Othello. In 1941, he was signed by Columbia, and Bridges appeared in some 25 low-budget films over the next four years. Tall, blonde and rugged, he frequently appeared in Westerns and action pictures, sometimes as a heavy. After he left Columbia and began free-lancing in 1945, Bridges' roles and films improved. His films include Here Comes Mr. Jordan, Talk of the Town, Sahara, A Walk in the Sun, Ending, The Rainmaker, Airplane and Airplane II. He is the father of actors Jeff and Beau Bridges. Lightly creased at blank margins and corners, lightly stained at lower margin. Minor surface creases and smudges (most not evident head on), some at facial image. Overall, fine condition.
