Clipped signature, affixed to a sheet which also bears a small candid photo of him
Signature: "Lloyd Corrigan", 2¼x1 slip affixed to 3¾x3¼ card, with b/w candid photo (1¾x1¾) attached above signature. Ink note (unknown hand): 11-7-69. This is not a signing date, but the date of the actor's death. Reversing the typical sequence, Lloyd Corrigan (1900-1969) directed movies before he acted in them. In the 1930s he directed several mystery films, including a trilogy of Fu Manchu films. Beginning in 1940, he appeared on screen in character roles, including four Boston Blackie movies, Cyrano de Bergerac, The Manchurian Candidate, and his last big screen appearance, It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (1963). His TV appearances included recurring roles on The Ray Milland Show (1954-1955) and the sitcom Happy (1960-1961). Lightly toned, Otherwise, fine condition.
