Printed Photograph Signed in Ink: “Lloyd Lamble.” 8x10. Two 4¾x5¾ b/w images on one
page: one of the actor as Prime Minister Stanley Baldwin, and another image of the Prime
Minister himself. Lloyd Lamble (1914-2008) was born in Australia, although he spent
most of his life living in the United Kingdom. He got his start in the entertainment business
as a radio host in Australia. After moving to the United Kingdom, he began appearing in various
television and film productions in the late 1940s. His screen debut was in The Farrer Story
(1949). His more prominent credits include Curse of the Demon (1957), The Naked
Civil Servant (1975), and The Trials of Oscar Wilde (1960). He also was known for his
theatrical performances, especially his one-man show at the 1977 Edinburgh Festival. Fine
condition.
