Photograph signed "Lola Fisher". Black ink notations on verso in unknown hand. B/w, 8x10 overall, 7½x9½ image, one surface. Lightly cracked, creased and bowed. Paper loss at top right corner (does not touch signature) with ink stain on verso. Otherwise in fine condition. Accompanied by: Original mailing envelope. 12x8¾. Postmarked Los Angeles, California, Oct. 24, 1984. Addressed to Mt. T. Axelrod, American Museum of Historical Documents, Las Vegas, Nevada. With certified mail labels and receipt remnants. Lightly soiled, stained and creased. Paper loss on front and verso. Tape remnants on verso. Neatly torn open at right edge. Folded in half and unfolded. Rounded and worn left edges with worn top edge. Otherwise in fine condition. American actor Fisher is probably best known for being an understudy to Julie Andrews in the original Broadway production of My Fair Lady (1956-1962). Originally a part of the show's singing ensemble, she performed in the role of Liza Doolittle around 150 times. She also had acting credits in the original Broadway productions of My Darlin' Aida (1952-1953) and By the Beautiful Sea (1954) and numerous credits in local theatre companies.
