The Country Music star's ink signature on a 6x4 card
Signature: "Loretta Lynn", 6x4 blue card. Loretta Lynn, born in the coalfields of Kentucky in 1932, married when she was 13 and had four children by the time she was 18. At 25, having taught herself guitar, she wrote, recorded and promoted her first hit, "Honky Tonk Girl". She joined the Grand Ole Opry cast two years later. Voted the Country Music Association's top female vocalist three times and Entertainer of the Year in 1972, her autobiography, Coal Miner's Daughter, was made into an Academy Award-winning film in 1980. Lynn was elected to the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1988. Ink note on verso (no show through). Fine condition.
