Young starred as Margaret Maskelyne Clive, wife of the eponymous Clive of India, Robert Clive. Growing up in silent movies, Young (1913-2000, born Gretchen Michaela Young in Salt Lake City, Utah) was an established star by the 1930s. Young won an Academy Award as Best Actress for The Farmer's Daughter (1947), and she was nominated for the same award for Come to the Stable (1949). Young, who hosted a TV teleplay, The Loretta Young Show (1953-1961), appeared in about half of the show's episodes, winning three Emmy Awards. Lightly toned, silvered, creased and bowed.
