Photograph signed: "Jonathan Harris", and "Peace/Bill Mumy", Color, 8x10. LOST IN SPACE, the science fiction series about the Space Family Robinson was on CBS from 1965-1968. Jonathan Harris (1914-2002) was an American actor with over 70 TV shows and films to his credit between 1952 and 2001. However, he was best known as stowaway Dr. Zachary Smith on the TV series Lost in Space (1965-1968). Harris also had eight appearances on Broadway, including his final appearance as Captain McLean (replacing Larry Gates) in the long-running Teahouse of the August Moon, which ran for 1,208 performances from 1953 to 1956. American character actor Bill Mumy (b. 1954) is especially known for his SF roles. The best remembered of his child acting roles was as Will Robinson on the TV series Lost in Space (1965-1968). His three Twilight Zone appearances included the classic "It's a Good Life," where his child's supernatural powers terrorize a community of adults. Mumy was still in space thirty years after he got lost there as a child, playing the Minbari diplomat Lennier on Babylon 5 (1994-1998). Mumy plays 7 instruments and has written and performed with America, Rick Springfield and others. He is in demand as a voice-over on animated cartoons and dozens of TV commercials. Lightly toned.
