An influential pop music entrepreneur from the 1960s, Lou Adler (born in
1933) promoted such performers as Jan and Dean, the Mamas and Papas and Carole
King, and he was the former owner of the Dunhill and Ode record labels.
In the mid-1970s, Adler turned his attention to film, producing a number of
films, including the cult classic, The Rocky Horror Picture Show
(1975), and directing Ladies and Gentlemen, the Fabulous Stains (1981) as
well as Up in Smoke. Adler's first wife (1964-1967) was actress
Shelley Fabares; he has been married to actress Page Hannah, the
sister of Daryl Hannah, since 1992. Slightly creased at blank margins and
corners, light scuff at lower blank edge. Minor surface creases (not evident
head on). Fine condition.
