B/w, 5x7. Photograph by Sandy Gibson (handwritten copyright on verso). An
influential pop music entrepreneur from the 1960s, Lou Adler (born in
1933) promoted such performers as Jan and Dean, the Mamas and Papas and Carole
King, and he was the former owner of the Dunhill and Ode record labels.
In the mid-1970s, Adler turned his attention to film, producing a number of
films, including the cult classic, The Rocky Horror Picture Show
(1975), and directing Cheech and Chong's comedy, Up in Smoke
(1978). Adler's first wife (1964-1967) was actress Shelley Fabares; he
has been married to actress Page Hannah, the sister of Daryl Hannah,
since 1992. Name written (unknown hand) in ink on verso (no show through). Fine
