LOU BOUDREAU
Lou Boudreau signs a baseball bat.
Baseball bat signed: "Lou Boudreau". Rawlings Big Stick Adirondack Professional baseball bat. Lou Boudreau combined defensive prowess, solid hitting and managerial acumen to attain Hall of Fame recognition (1970). He took over the helm of the Indians in 1942 at the age of 24 and two years later he won the American League batting title. The 1948 league MVP, he hit .355 with 106 RBI and capped the season with four hits in the Tribe's pennant-winning play-off victory in Boston, leading them to an eventual World Championship. A bold innovator, Boudreau oversaw the transformation of Bob Lemon from an infielder to a pitcher and created the "Williams Shift" and other tactics. Fine condition.
