The "Lightnin' Strikes" hit maker adds the sentiment, "best wishes"
to his signature
Autograph sentiment signed: "Best wishes/Lou Christie", 5x3. Lou Christie (born Luigi Alfredo Giovanni Sacco in 1943) is an American singer/songwriter known for his hits "Two Faces Have I", "The Gypsy Cried" and "Lightnin' Strikes." Beginning as a session vocalist in New York City, Christie earned a short-term contract with MGM in 1965, with which he recorded another popular single "Rhapsody." While in the 1960's he was dismissed by critics as merely a Rudy Vallée imitator, Christie and his three-octave vocal range have been more appreciated in later years, now noted as one of the first songwriters and musicians of the pop era. Ink note (unknown hand) on verso. Fine condition.
