B/w, 8x10 overall, 7¼x9¼ image, one surface. Canadian character actor Lou Jacobi (1913-2009) was known for playing frumpy, often hapless men. He earned over 60 television shows and movies to his credit since 1953, as well as 10 Broadway appearances. One of his most famous roles was as Mr. Van Daan in the Broadway production of The Diary of Anne Frank, which ran for 717 performances between 1955 and 1957, a role he reprised in the 1959 movie adaptation. He also appeared as a transvestite husband in Woody Allen's Everything You Wanted to Know about Sex (But Were Afraid to Ask) (1972), as a man who was sucked into his television in Amazon Women on the Moon (1987) and as Kurt Gödel in I. Q. (1994), his last movie. Lightly creased and bowed. Signature has poor adhesion and low contrast in places, but is legible. Light scratches on image (not visible head-on). Otherwise in fine condition.
