Inscribed photograph signed: "Good luck Dick/and sincere good
wishes - always/Lou Little" , B/w, 8½x11¼. Lou Little (1893-1979) was an
American football coach and player. He played tackle in college at the
University of Pennsylvania and served in France during World War between his
1916 and 1919 seasons. He was head coach of the Georgetown University
football program (1927-1929) before becoming the head coach at Columbia
University (1930-1956). While coach, his team beat Stanford 7-0 in the
1934 Rose Bowl and snapped Army's twenty-three game winning streak in 1947.
Little had a record of 110-116-10 with Columbia. Corners worn. Toned.
