Secretary of Defense (under Harry S Truman, March 28, 1949-September 19,
1950) was Assistant Secretary of War from 1937-1940. Johnson, a WWI
veteran, helped found the American Legion, serving as its National
Commander from 1932-1933. Lightly soiled. Paperclip impression at upper
edge. Fine condition.
