Cachet is captioned: "Literary Art Series, Honoring John Steinbeck, 1902-1968." Auchincloss (1917-2010) wrote fiction while remaining an active lawyer specialized in estates and trusts. As such, he was well qualified to write about lives of well-to-do, well connected, WASP New Yorkers, the subjects of much of his fiction. His recent works include short stories (Manhattan Monologues, 2002) and novels (The Scarlet Letters, 2003). He has written several biographies, with subjects like Edith Wharton, Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson. Fine condition.
