Autograph sentiment signed: "With best wishes/Louise Chandler
Moulton", in black ink, 4¼x3½. Louise Chandler Moulton (1835-1908)
published her first collection of poems, This, That & the Other,
in 1854. The following year she wed Boston publisher William Moulton. A
literary critic for the New York Tribune and Boston Herald, she also
wrote collections of short stories, beginning with Bed-time Stories
(1873), and a travelogue, Lazy Tours in Spain (1896). Toned. Bottom
and left edge slightly frayed. Corners slightly worn and creased. Pencil notes
(unknown hand) on verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
