LOVE, SIDNEY TV CAST
A March 1982 issue of TV Guide featuring the cast of Love, Sidney, signed by actress Swoosie Kurtz and actor Tony Randall
Magazine signed: "Swoosie/Kurtz", "Tony Randall", 5x7½. 58 pages. March 6-12, 1982 issue of TV Guide. Best remembered as Felix Unger in the TV version of The Odd Couple (1969-1974), TONY RANDALL (1920-2004) was an accomplished radio and stage actor from the late 1940s. From the late 1950s, he starred in successful film comedies, including Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter? (1957), Pillow Talk (1959) and Lover Come Back (1961). Randall's other TV credits included The Tony Randall Show (1976) and the Emmy Award-winning, Dear Sydney (1981-1982). Sometimes in trouble with the networks for his outspoken politics, Randall was also in demand for quiz shows because of his encyclopedic knowledge of trivia. SWOOSIE KURTZ (b. 1944), named Swoosie after her father's WWII aircraft, has won two Tony Awards (Fifth of July, 1981; House of Blue Leaves, 1986) and been nominated for two more (Tartuffe, 1978; Frozen, 2004). On television, she won an Emmy as Outstanding Guest Actress in 1990 (for Carol & Company) and gained nominations for five more. Kurtz co-starred in the series, Sisters, from 1991-1996. Kurtz, who began appearing in films in the 1970s, was seen in Cruel Intentions in 1999 and in the TV miniseries, Category 7: The End of the World, in 2005. Cover image scratched and faded with age. Corners and edges worn and creased. Pages toned. Light surface creases throughout. Slightly soiled. Otherwise, fine condition.
