The upbeat music and lyrics of The Lovin' Spoonful topped the pop music charts in the mid-1960s. STEVE BOONE played bass, JOE BUTLER drums for the group. Guitarist JERRY YESTER joined the band in 1967, the year of this release. The band's biggest hits included two chart-toppers ("Daydream" and "Summer in the City" and two more in the top ten ("Do You Believe in Magic," "You Didn't Have to Be So Nice." When JOHN SEBASTIAN, the principal songwriter, left the group later that year to pursue a solo career, the band's glory days were over, although they placed some more tunes in the top 100 and issued a new record in 1999. The Lovin' Spoonful entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000. Boone, Yester and Butler (the latter now lead vocalist) continue to tour, with two other members added to the group. Signatures lightly bled through to verso. Ink mark on verso (no show-through). Otherwise, fine condition.
