graduate (1974) and instructor, was an army pilot, retiring as a lieutenant
colonel. In 1987, he joined NASA, becoming an astronaut in 1990. Clifford
went into space on the shuttle three times as a Mission Specialist (1992, 1994,
1996), logging 655 hours in space, including a 6-hour space walk. He left
NASA for Boeing in 1997, where he was assigned to work on development of the
international space station. Minor scratches at background. Fine
condition.
