Newspaper Photograph Signed: "Willis D. Crittenberger" in blue ink. 5¼x4. B/w. Willis D. Crittenberger (1890-1980) was a United States Army officer whose career served as a World War II combat commander of IV Corps during the later part of Italian campaign from 1944 until the end of the war. In the subsequent years, he commanded the Caribbean Defense Command and in 1947 became the first commander in chief of U.S. Caribbean Command. In 1952 he concluded his military career. Toned.
