dancer, actress and songwriter Luba Mason, born Lutiza Gregus in New
York City to Slovak parents, uses the name of her first husband professionally,
but is now married to ten-time Latin Grammy winner Ruben Blades. Mason
has appeared in seven Broadway shows, with starring roles as Hedy LaRue in
the hit revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying
(1995-1996) and as a replacement Velma Kelly in Chicago. Other
prominent roles have included The Will Rogers Follies and Jekyll &
Hyde. She has made numerous TV guest appearances, from New York
Undercover (1996) to Person of Interest (2013), and appeared in a
film documentary: Flops 101: Lessons from the Biz. Mason has released
two record albums to date, Collage and Krazy Love, the later
including numbers of her own composition. Fine condition.
