Corporate minutes signed: "Desi Arnaz", "Lucille Ball", "Martin N. Leeds" and "Andrew G. Hickox", 3 pages, 8½x11. Hollywood, California, 1954 March 1. Minutes of a special meeting of the directors shareholders of Desilu Productions, Inc. General corporate business, including compensation and bonuses for employees and directors. Desilu Productions was one of the most successful entertainment production companies in television history. Ball and Arnaz formed it to produce their comedy series I Love Lucy (1951-1957) after CBS had denied Lucy's request for Desi to play the role of her husband. In 1957, Lucy and Desi sold the rerun rights of the show to CBS Films for $5 million. They used the money for Desilu to purchase the RKO motion picture lot and produced such successful shows as Our Miss Brooks, The Danny Thomas Show, Mission: Impossible and Star Trek. In 1960, upon their divorce, they divided Desilu's assets in half; two years later, Lucy bought out Desi for $3 million. Lightly creased. Staple holes at left corners, file holes at top center.
