LUKE GRAHAM and JOHNNY POWERS
Paycheck for $160.00 to the wrestler from the Ameri-Can Wrestling Club, Inc., signed by wrestling promoter Johnny Powers
Paycheck endorsed: "Luke/Graham", 3x8¼. Also signed by "Johnny Powers". May 11, 1972. Check no. 267 drawn on the account of the Ameri-Can Wrestling Club, Inc. at the National City Bank in Cleveland, Ohio. Payable to Luke Graham for the amount of $160.00. LUKE GRAHAM (1940-2006) was an American wrestler, wrestling for 20 years as a member of the Graham stable family. He wrestled with the WWWF and the WWA, holding tag team titles in both organizations. Graham's on stage persona was known for his "craziness", which Graham would deny during matches, covering his ears and saying that he was sane. JOHNNY POWERS (b. 1943) was a popular wresting announcer, hosting TV's "Championship Wrestling with John Powers." Powers, who dyed his hair blonde to fight as "the Golden Adonis", went on to become a major wrestling promoter and owner of a wrestling school. Multiple folds. Slight surface creases. Ink stamps. Corners slightly worn. Otherwise, fine condition.
