LYNN BARI
Signed b/w 20th Century Fox publicity photo by Frank Powolny of actress Lynn Bari standing in front of a rattan background in a skirt and white blouse. Signed with "Loads of good wishes for 1981".
Inscribed photograph signed "For Chuck McKeen/Loads of good wishes for 1981./Lynn Bari". B/w, 8¼x10 overall, 7½x9¼ image, one surface. Captioned: "Lynn Barri....20th Century-Fox Player". Photo by Frank Powolny of 20th Century-Fox with photo credit stamped on verso in black ink. American actress Bari (1913-1989), born Marjorie Schuyler Fisher, started her career as a chorus girl in Dancing Lady (1933). By 1938, she had graduated to strong supporting roles in A pictures and became the queen "B" in the B's, frequently appearing as "the other woman". Some of her most notable work includes Hollywood Cavalcade (1939), Kit Carson (1940), Blood and Sand (1941) and Hello Frisco, Hello (1943, one of her best "other women" turns). She also worked extensively in early TV, mostly in live drama. Lightly toned, creased and bowed. Signature has poor adhesion but is legible. Light scratches on image (not visible head-on). Otherwise in fine condition.
