Inscribed photograph signed "To Jack-/Lynn Bari" in blue ink. Lead pencil notations on verso in unknown hand. B/w, 8x10 overall, 7x8¾ image, one surface. Captioned: "Lynn Barri - 20th Century-Fox Player". American actress Bari (1913-1989), born Marjorie Schuyler Fisher, started her career as a chorus girl in Dancing Lady (1933). By 1938, she had graduated to strong supporting roles in A pictures and became the queen "B" in the B's, frequently appearing as "the other woman". Some of her most notable work includes Hollywood Cavalcade (1939), Kit Carson (1940), Blood and Sand (1941) and Hello Frisco, Hello (1943, one of her best "other women" turns). She also worked extensively in early TV, mostly in live drama. Lightly toned, cracked, creased and bowed. Light impressions and scratches on image (not visible head-on). Otherwise in fine condition.
