LYNN REDGRAVE
Signed b/w photograph of Tony, Oscar and Emmy-nominated actress Lynn Redgrave in a low-cut black top. She was the daughter of actor Michael Redgrave and sister of Vanessa and Corin Redgrave.
Photograph signed "Lynn/Redgrave" in blue ink. B/w, 7¾x9¾ overall, image 7¼x8, one surface. Redgrave (1943-2010), born Lynn Rachel Redgrave in London, England, was the daughter of acclaimed actor Michael Redgrave and sister of actor Corin Redgrave and actress Vanessa Redgrave. She was nominated for the 1966 Best Actress Academy Award for Georgy Girl (for which she won the Golden Globe) and 1998 Best Supporting Actress Oscar for Gods and Monsters. (Ironically, both Lynn and Vanessa received nods for the 1966 Best Actress award, but both lost to Elizabeth Taylor for her performance in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?) Lynn was also nominated for two Tony Awards for Best Actress in a Play (Mrs. Warren's Profession, 1976; and Shakespeare for My Father, 1993, a one-woman tribute to her father), for an Emmy in 1981 (House Calls, 1979-1981) and for a Daytime Emmy for her performance in the 1983 CBS Afternoon Playhouse episode The Shooting. Redgrave, who made her professional debut on the stage in 1962, appeared in her first film, Tom Jones, the following year. Her other film credits included The Happy Hooker (1975), Shine (1996), The Wild Thornberrys Movie (2002) and Kinsey (2004). Redgrave also appeared in a long list of made-for-TV movies, was a regular on several TV series, including House Calls (1979-1981), Teachers Only (1982-1983) and Chicken Soup (1989), and made guest appearances on several TV series and talk shows from 1967 to 2009. Lightly toned, creased and bowed, otherwise in fine condition.
