A combination of two caricatures of the singing comedy duo, signed with their stage names, Flotsam and Jetsam

Heavily soiled. Corners slightly worn. Paper remnants on verso. Otherwise, fine condition. Malcom McEachern (1883-1945) was a popular Australian bass singer, forming a duo with pianist and tenor Bentley Collingwood Hilliam (1890-1968) in 1926. Adopting the stage name of Mr. Flotsam and Mr. Jetsam, they formed a very popular musical duo, performing until Jetsam's death in 1945. They performed humorous songs in a style similar to the later Flanders and Swann. Beyond the duo, Malcolm McEachern was a successful concert soloist, often regarded as one of the world's best bass vocalists. He made over 180 studio recordings during his career, mostly in in operatic style, though many have been lost in time.
