Commemorative envelope signed: "Joe Engle", "Richard Truly", "Skip Guidry", "Vic Horton", "Fitz Fulton" and "Tom McMurtry", 6½x3½. Edwards, CA, September 13, 1977. With one brown-and-white 13¢ With blue cachet on left of a 747 as it drops from the Space Shuttle Enterprise. Captioned: "Shuttle Drop. Second free flight. Space Shuttle crew-Astronauts, Joe Engle and Richard Truly. 747 crew-Fitz Fulton and Tom McMurtry." Skip Guidry and Vic Horton were the 747 flight engineers. The Space Shuttle Enterprise was the nation's prototype space shuttle orbiter. Engle and Truly comprised the second Columbia space shuttle crew four years later. Lightly toned and creased. Small impressions in front near top edge. Otherwise in fine condition.
