Photograph signed: "To Jeffrey/Best Wishes for/continual success./Thanks for your interest/in Military History/Semper fidelis/Maj Gen T.E Donovan/USMC" Color 8x10. Major General T.E Donovan joined the U.S. Marine Corps in June 1971 after his graduating from the University of Oklahoma. After several years in the Marine Corps he became Tactics Instructor for the Advanced Tactics Division at the U.S. Army Armor School in Fort Knox, Kentucky. He served as Commanding Officer of the Marine Barracks at the Naval Air Station in Alameda, California and was the lead operational planner for I Marine Expeditionary Force's offensive for Operation Desert Storm. His officer assignments include serving as Commanding General of Marine Corps Warfighting Lab at Quantico and Vice Chief of Naval Research for the Office of Naval Research in Arlington, Virginia. His final assignment was serving as the Chief of Staff for the Multi-National Force-Iraq in Baghdad. The General retired in 2006, his decorations include the Navy Distinguished Service Medal, Defense Superior Service Medal, the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, the Army Achievement Medal and the Republic of Korea Chonsu Medal. Fine condition.
