VALERY BYKOVSKY piloted Vostok 5, the fifth manned Soviet space
flight , June 14-19, 1963. Vostok 6, with Valentina Tershkova aboard,
was launched June 16, 1963, and passed within 3 miles of Vostok 5. Bykovsky
returned to space September 15-23, 1976, aboard Soyuz 22 (with Vladimir
Aksenov) to take Earth-resources photographs. On August 25, 1978, Bykovsky went
on his third mission, aboard Soyuz 31, for eight days with Sigmund Jahn,
the first East German in space, docking with the Salyut 6 space
station. Fine condition.
