New Jersey-born, retired US Air Force Major George M. Boyd addresses rapt audiences with his stories of the legendary Tuskegee Airman, the African-American fighter escort squadron further honored in the 2012 film Red Tails. During 28 years in the US Air Force, spanning World War II, Korea and Vietnam, Boyd served as a jet fighter radar intercept officer and a squadron commander, as well as a combat management engineer. After retiring from the service, Boyd became Director of Aviation for the Kansas Department of Transportation. He holds the rank of colonel in the Civil Air Patrol. Fine condition.
