(b. 1943) is an English actor with over 160 TV shows and movies as of this biography, but
he's probably best known for his role as sociopath-turned-guinea-pig Alex in A Clockwork
Orange(1971).McDowell has a tendency to play charismatic - even charming - evil
characters, including the title role in Caligula (1979) and, more recently, occultist Vater Orlaag
in Metalocalypse, as well as playing the heavy in a number of B-movies. Some of his less
diabolical characters include Nick Travis in If... (1968) and H. G. Wells in Time After Time
(1979). He's also lent his voice to a number of TV cartoons in recent years. Star Trek fans
know McDowell as mad Dr. Tolian Soran, who killed Captain James T. Kirk in Star
Trek: Generations(1994). Lightly toned, soiled, stained and creased. Light nicks at top edge.
