American dramatist Marcus Cook Connelly (1890-1981) won the Pulitzer Prize for his 1930 play, The Green Pastures. He had previously collaborated with George S. Kaufman on such plays as Dulcy (1921), To the Ladies (1922), Merton of the Movies (1922) and Beggar on Horseback (1924). Connelly published his first novel, A Souvenir from Quam, a satire of spy stories, in 1965. Lightly soiled at upper blank corners and lower edge. Fine condition.
