Small 4x6 b/w full-length photo of soprano in costume, signed in gold ink
Photograph signed "Margaret Price". B/w, 4x6, printed on cardstock. A lyric soprano who could comfortably double as a coloratura, Welsh singer Price, born Margaret Bernice Price in 1941, debuted as Cherubino in Mozart's Marriage of Figaro in 1962 and went on to earn her reputation interpreting that composer, especially Donna Anna in Don Giovanni, Pamina in The Magic Flute and the Contessa in Figaro, and Verdi. She has sung at Covent Garden, the Glyndebourne Festival Opera, the Metropolitan Opera, the Opéra de Paris, the Vienna State Opera and in San Francisco and Chicago. Interestingly, despite her success in opera, she prefers to sing lieder, or romantic music songs. She was knighted in 1993. Minor surface creases. Fine condition.
