MARGE CHAMPIONThe Broadway and film choreographer signed this card using one of her many pseudonyms in black ink. Extremely rare! Signature: "Marjorie Bell" in black ink on a 5x3 card. The professional dancer is better known as Marge Champion, although she used numerous pseudonyms throughout her career including Marjorie Bell. The dancer, choreographer and teacher(1919-2020) was married to Gower Champion from 1947-1973, during which time the couple were stars of several lavish film musicals for MGM, including Show Boat (1951). She assisted with his Broadway shows as a choreographer and even performed in some of them, including 3 for Tonight! (1955). Her final performance on Broadway was in Follies (2001). She also compiled a number of credits on the screen, with her choreography work in Queen of the Stardust Ballroom (1975) earning her a Primetime Emmy. In 2002, she was awarded a career achievement award in conjunction with her husband Gower. Her choreography talents helped her husband win numerous Tony awards. Ink mark on verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
